Description
Vacuum seed counting/planting can save hours of tedious hand work. By connecting your custom vacuum counting head to a vacuum source you can plant seeds in any arrangement desired. Holes may be spaced to fit your particular requirements, i.e. plug flats, special paper, different size boxes or flats, or any special need. Counting heads are typically 25, 50 or 100 hole but can be made for as many as 500 seeds in some instances.
Simply sprinkle the desired seeds over the top of the counting head. One seed should collect to each hole. Pour the excess seed off the open end and you are ready to plant. Place the counting head over your media, release the vacuum and the seeds are dropped. Vacuum Is opened and closed with the use of a hand operated release valve or a foot switch connected to an electric valve.
If your requirement is for multiple planting stations, a built in system is best suited. Pump and tank may be remotely located and plumbed to each individual station. Pumps are available in sizes from 1-1/2 to 3 HP. More vacuum may be acquired by using more than one pump per system. These systems are furnished completely assembled and ready to use.
